Halloween for Hunger

Hey guys, this Halloween I sent out flyers to everybody on my street to tell them that I was trick-or-treating for canned food and non-perishable food items. I got an amazing outcome every person that I went to gave me 1 or 2 cans. I had one lady who went to the store just to get 2 full bags of baby food. I also had a lady who gave me an industry size bag of rice. Everybody was calling me a canned food girl. It was so great. I collected 117 items I was so happy. Just yesterday my dad and I delivied them to the Daily Bread Food Bank. The drop-off zone that we went to was our local fire hall #321. I am going to send out a flyer saying thank you to all the people who gave me food. I was also thinking that went it gets cold I do another drive and I say that I will be out form 2 till 4 collecting cans outside my house, and every person who gives me a can will get a free cup of hot coco. It felt so good giving back to the community.

BT LIVE

Yesterday was one of the greatest days of my life all my dreams came true. I got to go and see Breakfast Television being filmed live. BT is a morning show that has tons of things going on like guests who promote their business, weather, traffic, and news. The four hosts are Dina and Kevin who work in the studio, Frank who's the weather man, and Jen who's at the Live Eye. To get to see the show I e-mailed General Inquiries and asked if they have a studio audience. Then they e-mailed back and said no but you can e-mail the floor manager and make a date. So I made a date and he sent me the details. The next day at 6:00 in the morning my dad drove us to a subway stop. Then we took the subway with a few half asleep people to where the studio is located at Yonge Dundas Square. When we got there the square was empty. Then when it was quarter to 7:00 we walked into the studio and took out seats. After we were settled we went to the washroom (the upstairs one because models were changing in the downstairs one, you will see) on our way back down we saw the one and only Frank the weatherman and he said "Hey guys welcome to BT". The guests on the show were the famous Victoria Secret Angel Adriana Lima and her young model shows of their products, Jacqueline Betterton host of daytime York Region on Rogers TV for gossip, Canada's Got Talent Online Winner Kevin Mackay, and Joanne Lalonde Hayes Time Management Expert for moms. After the show I got to be in a picture with Dina, Frank, Francis, and my mom (shown above) which was really really cool. Then my mom and I got to talk to Dina about what I want to do when I grow up and I also got to tell her that I made the shorts that I was wearing (which I did). Then after that we got a tour of the studio and we got to see how all the magic works. Yesterday was a great day and just to top it off I scored the winning goal at my soccer game and we won the league last night. One of the greatest days of my life!!

Converse

Today I got the ultimate fall shoes. This afternoon my mom and I went to our favorite shoe store Globo Shoes and I got some great new shoes. The type of shoes that I got were All Star Converse Chuck Taylor's in Hi-tops (I know long name right). They are thick gray cotton (nice and warm) with white rubber with a line of red. I think that in the fall on one of those cold windy fall days I could wear some knee high socks and push them down. I these modern times (as old people would say) sneakers go with everything, pants, skirts whatever. I now have the best back to school shoes ever.

Charlie St. Cloud

Just the other day I saw the movie Charlie St. Cloud. It is also a book. The movie is about two brothers who get in a car crash and the older brother Charlie is the only one who lives. After that he can see his brothers soul and he plays catch with him every night. Then he meets the girl of his dreams. Her boat gets lost on the water and he must choose between the love of his life and his brother. This is a great movie.

Miley Cyrus Gone Bad

Remember when all those little girls were looking up Miley Cyrus Hollywood's big it girl, now look at her. Have you seen her latest video "Can't Be Tamed" she is wearing barley anything? Also the really weird thing is that her dad is okay with her doing this type of stuff. Also girls used to look up at her and now what? Also some of those extreme fans are still looking up to her but now what type of role model is she now. Soon she is going to be in jail like Lisnay Lohan. Did you see her at the Kid's Choice Awards, pole danceing? So don't let her woo you.

Garden Fever

Lately I have been working in the yard with my dad. There is dirt and grass seeds on the ground and there are holes in the ground to air the lawn. Also the leaves on the trees are out and the sidewalk shady once again. Which can be a bad thing on those breezzey days. Also the buds of the trees have falling on the sidewalk. Also there is one lone tulip in the backyard we think it is from the old flower patch.

iTouch and iPhone Whats the Point

Most of you out there don't know that I have an iTouch (was once my dad's) but I do. So on the matter I shouldn't be talking about this but I am. So as most of you Apple savvy people out there you and me both know that you need a Wi-Fi to work most of the good parts of the iPod example Internet App store iTunes and some games. So I think either they should have it run not on Wi-Fi or make every place in the world have Wi-Fi. So if you are thinking of buying one consider the opinions.

Spring Styles

This spring has started out on a sad note because right now it is snowing and yesterday it was 18c but looking ahead to the warmer times it looks good in the world of fashion. The first trend of this season is the denim. Denim has a wide varitey of peices like the jacket, the shirt, the skinny, the straight, the boot cut, and the ripped and all denim is in this season. The second trend this season is the dress because it is award season and everyone is seeing the award shows, and then wanted to be like the stars they see on TV but they know they can so the closest they can get is a dress. Another trend is the floral dress, shirt, skirt anything floral. This trend is always a trend in spring because it is a time when flowers bloom. Also this is not really a trend but everyone needs a pair of sunnies!!

Miley Gone Teen Vogue

On this years April issue of Teen Vogue Miley Cyrus is the cover girl some are happy some are not but one thing I can tell you is that she looks really good. I don't like seeing Diseny stars on the cover because it takes away the sense of fashion. All see talked about in her article was her new boyfriend and co-star in The Last Song. Speaking of movies Alice in Wonderland is genius. Do you think Diseny is taking away fashion?

Spring is Here

Finally spring has come but apparently not for long. This week it is going to maybe snow a bit. For now we are all embracing it. So now everyone goes outside and goes on there bike plays soccer whatever and you see tons of people you know it's crazy. Also when I went to the convenience store to get the newspaper instead of getting a piece of gum or something like I normally do I got a root beer (my fav) and on my way back I just this is amazing (not the drink the vife) and I don't know why.

Hana's Suitcase

Have you ever read a book that is extremely sad but love it at the same time? Well I did with this book. This book is about a girl named Hana and her brother George and her family. They are all Jews so they get taken away by the Nazis. The book is about the things she must overcome and the good and bad times she had. So love crying your eyes out read this.

D.I.Y Shirt and How

Okay so lately I have been into D.I.Y stuff and I went a step further. I made a shirt!!! Okay this one I need to give dibs to my mom because she had the idea but I made the pattern. Okay it is really easy to make. All you need is a bleach pen or plain bleach, a dark shirt (won't work on light), and a sink with water (not that high just enough for the shirt). Step 1 put your shirt down on some newspaper. Step 2 get the bleach pen or plain bleach (the pen is for more detail and the plain is for the ty dye look) make your design on the shirt. Step 3 once you have made your design wait and it will change colors. Step 4 when it gets to the color you want just throw it in the water move it around for a sec then let it dry and vola your own D.I.Y shirt!!!!!!

D.I.Y Vest

Have you ever had something you loved but you want to change it, or maybe a lame hand-me-down well I did. I got this vest from my mom l love it but it was to plain so. I had broken a necklace with these great beads so sat down on the floor and started sewing. In 15 min. it was complete. Yes I know I only did one side but 1 it looked cool and 2 I was to lazy. I know it looks hard but no it is just a matter of stabbing yourself a couple of times.

Teen Vogue Scandal

Okay here is the deal, there is this magazine which is the fashion bible for teens, Teen Vogue. A lot of you have probably heard me talk about it because I do posts about it all the time. Okay so if you are a teen, you know we don't have a lot of money because all we get is 5 bucks a week for shoveling snow off the driveway, well at least in my case. So you would think that they have all cheap stuff that you can get at like Walmart or Fovever 21 but the fashionable things and what not, but no. They have Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Dior and now of couse I love them but can't afford them. But thing that threw me over the fence was $295 socks, yes socks those things that you wear every day so you have about 15 pairs of. Now I love this magazine to death, but still $300 socks, really?

Best Movie....Bandslam

Okay if you think you have seen the best movie ever you are wrong. Today you will find out the best movie right here right now. Now the name of the movie may be weird and if you saw the ad then you might think it was weird but it's not. Bandslam is the movie. I saw it on the flight to England and the flight back. It is about a boy who has a suckish life but then he gets the great news that his mom and him are moving to New Jersey. At first he was invisible but then this girl and him become friends. Next this other girl gets him into doing day care with her and then managing a band. Then they enter for this band competition Bandslam. Now I am not going to tell you if they win or not, but I will tell you that it is a happy ending. P.S there is kissing.

New Year

Everyone is back from there Christmas holiday and in a good mood for 2010. It is snowing like crazy here. Got lots of presents from friends and family and if you are reading this thanks. My flight back from England was awsome because my moms TV was not moving so they let her move seats and I got a whole seat to lay out on. Happy New Year!!!!!
